The story behind sheer wil power

Wil and I were best friends for years. He was the only one of us who grew a mustache—and the only one who wanted everyone else to do the same. We never did. Then everything changed. Wil was in a devastating car accident that left him clinging to life and nearly completely paralyzed. Months turned into years of recovery, surgeries, and relearning how to live in a body that no longer worked the way it once had. His life was flipped upside down, and he now needs help with nearly everything.

But Wil never stopped being Wil. He kept going—with humor, creativity, and a stubbornly positive spirit. He’s written books, stayed active, and continues to show up with more strength than most people ever have to find. We all finally grew our mustaches for him—and I never stopped. Sheer Wil Power is named in his honor: his sheer will to keep moving forward, and the answer I jokingly give when people ask how I keep my mustache standing tall. I’m honored to call him my friend, and even more honored that his resilience is the inspiration behind this company.
